Ice-Free Arctic May Be Near, Study Suggests

            Scientists have found that the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is about the same as it was 3.6 million years ago. They think in the near future the arctic will be ice free. Scientist have taken samples from an old lake and found that the temperatures were 14 degrees hotter than they are today. I think this is important because if temperatures keep rising our earth, our home may become a desert and we will barley be able to live. I also think this is important because I think the ice melting is from global warming and if it keeps up everything will melt and then we'll die!
