Disorders don't matter

Mom: Down Syndrome doesn't change my dreams

In September 2003 a 16 year old girl was pregnant with a baby girl that had Down Syndrome. She asked herself what kind of shoes her daughter would wear. After thinking about it for a while she decided she didn't care what shoes she wore. Jaylin (the baby) was born a wore pink Nike shoes for a good few months. I think this is important because like the mother did, she didn't let her baby's disorder come in the way of her dreams for her. I also think this is important because many people treat kids with disorders different but they really shouldn't, those kids didn't chose to have the disorder. Photos courtesy the National Down Syndrome Society
