Boy finds a way to scare lions away so they don't eat his livestock

Boy scares off lions with flashy invention

Richard age 13 found a way to scare the lions away from the cattle by making something that has flashy lights because he found that lions don't like flashy lights. He made it by putting led lights on posts by the cattle enclosure wired with a car battery. The cool thing about it all is that he wired it all by him self. He called his invention lion lights. This is important because he was questioned and he showed them wrong. This is also important because if kids around the world can make more inventions that help farmers or other people adults may not underestimate them. To read more click here

Richard Turere, 13, is from Kitengela, on the edge of the Nairobi National Park, in Kenya. He started herding his family's cattle when he was just nine.
