The University of Vermont studied 17,000 men for about 20 year. The studies showed that the most active were 65% less likely to develop lung cancer and 38% less likely to develop colorectal cancers than the least active men. Those who developed one of the cancers and exercised were 14% less likely to die. I think this is important because most people get cancer because their not healthy and now there is a solution. Also because now if you exercise and have cancer you can be healthy and less likely to die.

Doctor who promised cancer cure faces sentencing

A little girl named Brianca has had brain cancer sense she was 3 years old. Her parents were struggling to find a cure. They went to the doctors office and the doctor said that there was an herb cure. The parents spent thousands of dollars getting the proper items to make the herbal tea. The doctor said that there was a 60-80% chance of it working. The tea was just a scam to get more money for the hospital. Brianca died in the summer of 2002. The doctor is sentenced to 6 years in prison. I think this is important because a little girl died for a scam, and the parents wasted thousands of dollars.            Three year old Brianica Kirsch's parents paid thousands of dollars for an herbal supplement that was told to cure their daughter's brain cancer. After not getting the treatment from Dr. Christine Daniel, she died in the summer of 2002. Dr. Christine is being sentenced 27 years in prison and her lawyer is trying to get her sentencing down to six years in prison. I think this is important because she killed a three year old after promising to cure her. I also think this is important because her lawyer is trying to get her down to six years in prison when she deserves 30 to 35 years in prison or a fine of $1,000,000 after not delivering what she promised and letting a small patient die.

               When you get cancer, you normally get surgery. Would if we could stop everything from happening,even cancer. A new theory was found if you take a run or any workout a day can prevent you from getting cancer. The question you all have is probably, how does this work? Well keeping your body in shape it also keeps your body healthy so most sicknesses pass by you without you getting sick.I think this is important because we have been trying so many ways to prevent cancer from finding its way through are bodies, when the answer was right in front of us. Exercise!!! Even though we do not have everything figured just know by getting up 30 minutes or more a day can prevent cancer. It is so easy. I also think this is important because if just exercise can prevent cancer, just wonder all the things we can do even more to help loved ones who have this horrible sickness.

A ball that is able to create energy. If you just play with it for 30 minutes you can have 3 hours of light. This is important so then id people in Brazil can't have light and can't see. The kids can't do homework because they only see dark. The mothers and fathers can cook and feed the children. The kids there always play soccer. This article also said that the residents that are 37 miles away could see a  red glow in the sky. I think that this is important because we should know where all of the active volcanoes are so that we can protect people.               A girl ran away from her abusive family. She was cot and put in prison but was sent back to her abusive family. For punishment they cut off her nose and ears. She needed to get out of the country so they sent her to America that's where she will stay for a new life and find a new family.

Ohio man's ex-relatives say he beat them, kept mannequin in home

 the same man that was accused of kidnapping three women for ten years was also accused for beating his ex-wife and mother of his children. The ex died last year from a brain tumor. People believe that he caused the tumor from all of the beating. He might be on the death penalty or prison for life.

I think that this is important because people who are stupid enough to kidnap and rap three girls and to also beat his ex- wife should be o the death penalty. i also think that this is important because if we don't catch the bad people like him then many more bad things will start to happen.

19 New Orleans shooting victims included 2 kids.

     I really can't believe why people would do such a thing this early after the Boston Marathon. So pretty much about three people started shooting into the crowd/audience and about 19 people were wounded and they were 10 men, 7 women, and a boy and a girl. The children were alright only three of the victims were seriously wounded but the others were okay. I read an article about a carcass of a giant " monster" that washed upon the shore of  New Zealand. It was 30 feet and had big flippers. As the time wore on a marine biologist identified the animal as a Killer Whale or an Orca. I think that this is important because this is what people do if they don't have a logical explanation for something... they make something up and then word spreads and people can think that the object is different than it really is. It is like that commercial about the lady that heard that the internet is never wrong from the internet. This goes to show that you can't believe everything  that you hear about.

Camden, New Jersey is a hard place to grow up in because there is gangs, drugs and if you walk outside at 3 pm you  an hear  gun shots. Tawanda Jones started a dance team, the Camden Sophisticated Sisters Drill Team. They started this group to entice young girls to stay of the streets and do something positive with their live. I think this is important because someone is doing something instead of just watching this stuff happen. Also because they are making the girls feel safe and good about their self.

Emily later on said that it all plays out every time he would leave her alone as they were eating dinner he was checking in on the girls. Good news for Xbox fans Microsoft has decided to not have an Internet connection just to play games. Ars Technica has gotten  a email to Xbox engineers telling them to hold of on the allways online poicy  and instructing the engineers to make those functions just work’ regardless of their current internet connection status.               We have been through a lot in the United States like when the world trade center came crashing down. Well Asia had something exactly like that. A woman  worked in the office building that came crumbling down and had survived. She was found screaming "I'm alive" "Help please Help." The workers had stopped looking for survivors because it had been 10 days after the crash. She had stayed under the building ashes for 10 days and survived . I think this is important because she had starved and  was crushed but wouldn't let go of her loved ones. She couldn't say goodbye yet. I think this is important also because the police should look longer for survivors because there could be more.

He went outside and said are you okay to the girl and she said that she was a girl that went missing 10 years ago and that her child was inside. He tried to open the door and it wouldn't open so he kicked it open. He called the police and said that Amanda berry was right in front of him. I think this is important because he saved three girls from his neighbors house that were in distress. I also think this is important because you should help people when they are in trouble.

            Scientists have found that the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is about the same as it was 3.6 million years ago. They think in the near future the arctic will be ice free. Scientist have taken samples from an old lake and found that the temperatures were 14 degrees hotter than they are today. I think this is important because if temperatures keep rising our earth, our home may become a desert and we will barley be able to live. I also think this is important because I think the ice melting is from global warming and if it keeps up everything will melt and then we'll die!

The dog tied pulling the man off the track so that the man wouldn't be killed. All the man remembers was his dog pulling him then  loud noise. The dog died trying to ave his owner. I think this is important because this shows that dogs are true friends. This is also important because this dog saved his owner from a train and died in the process.                  After the removal of the 9 story building in Bangladesh, a woman was found still breathing and barely living. "I'm alive" yelled a woman as they uncovered a big piece of the building. Before that, she was crying and as she was being discovered she stopped a and said "I'm Alive!". I think this story is important because it's amazing that after all of these terrible things that happened, something amazing happened. It's also important because that meant the world to that woman.

Randy (the person) felt his dog nudging him and licking his face. He woke up and he smelled smoke so he got up and he looked out his window. The fire was right up to is doorsteps. He rushed out of his house with his dog and ran to his car and drove away and called the police. I think this is important because if Randy's dog wasn't there Randy would have died. This is just another reason that dogs really are mans, multiple dogs have saved peoples life. Dogs deserve respect just  like humans. All over in the US and in Europe bees mainly Honeybees have disappeared.researchers say that many virus'  have spread causing bees to disappear every winter.This has been happening since the winter of 06. I think that this is important because without bees all  the trees and plants that provide use with oxygen will die causing use to later follow.I also think that this is important because with out bees to pollinate the crops that people live their lives off of, many people could go hungry and lose a job.

Most people who this happens to usually are in war or car crashes and there isn't any medical help for them. This was the first time ever that this had happened in sports. It happened when Hayden was trying to catch when he and a teamate collided. Docters explain how difficult the surgery was by saying " It was like trying to sew a wet kleenex together" The surgery was a success and now Hayden's back on the field.  Jonah Weishaar was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome Type C in May 2010 when he was 22 months old. When he was diagnosed he did not have to have the death sentence but the stament may be untrue.              Kid has cancer when he is at preschool. The teacher doesn't know what to do and his mom is at work and the public transport is off limits. That's when a dad helps that lost his with cancer at 2000. He helps him by making a transport fir kids with cancer. Its called "Ride with Chemo."

I read an article about a ten foot alligator in a parking lot. It was in the it and heading to the road. Then a man   with the Sheriff's department took a rope from his truck and began to wrestle the supposed eight foot alligator to the ground and found out that it was ten foot. The alligator was turned over to a local trapper and the deputy was safe. This is important because if the deputy hadn't wrestled an alligator before, he might be in the hospital. What would you do is you got homework that was about a serial killer and a creepy John AKA peeping Tom. I would freak out and wonder what hobbies this teacher has but other students went to there parents and then to the principle. The sub teacher was fired and has to see if he can work at any school in the district.The teacher said that she was only trying to have more of a attention with colorful questions. I think this is important because you don't give kids questions like that. What happens if a little kid got that he could be stunded. I bet that he can do way better questions. I think that this is important because it is hard to think that a mother might eat her daughter and know that it was her. I think that this is also important because the Indians should not have treated the pilgrims that way.
