Studies shed light on Earth-shaking crash that doomed dinosaurs, led to rise of mammals, us
        Researchers have found a comet or asteroid that crashed into the gulf mexico 66 million years ago that may have wiped out dinosaurs. Their extinction may have led to our existence says scientist Paul Renne. They studied the rock and nearby fossils and they were almost the same time period! I think that this is important because we may not have been here today if that comet or asteroid did not hit the Earth so long ago. I also think that this is important because if we had evolved while the dinosaurs were still on this Earth then we probably would not have survived.
