Mars Rover 'Curiosity' to Take First Martian Drive This Week

But the rover's first long drive will take it in a slightly different direction, to a spot about 1,300 feet (400 meters) east of Curiosity's landing site. Scientists are eager to reach this locale -- which they've dubbed Glenelg -- because it harbors three distinct types of terrain for Curiosity to study, all in one place.Reason of importance is it is epoling  more of mars seeing if we can live on it and that is important because some say the earth is dying if it is we should have a back up plan.

'Please don't shoot': Wounded survivor, 12, recalls Nevada school attack

Last week one boy came to school with a gun, he shot a teacher on the play ground and started his way over to one of his good friends and shot him. Before he shot his friend Mason, the friend begged for him to to shot at him, but the more and more he said it the angrier the shooter got. Mason was only shot in the stomach, and did not die but unfortunately the one teacher did.This is important because parents need to lock there guns up so the kids cant handle them, the second reason is because if kids seem to be mad at something or someone parents need to talk to them about it to prevent things like this.

Knits a Marathon

Man Knits 12-Foot Scarf While Running Kansas City Marathon

      David Babcock, a professor at the University of Central Missouri, ran the Kansas City Marathon while knitting a scarf. David isn't the first person to do this either. The biggest scarf knitted while running a marathon is 6 feet and 9 inches, done by Susie Hewer in Flora London.  There are certain precautions that need to betaken when doing this sport. The runners make sure to use plastic needles instead of real ones, just in case of an accident. Like every sport it takes practice to become good and there are rules for safety.
      This is important to know because it shows the variety of what people like to do.It is strange to see what people come up with when they have spare time. Weather they like running and knitting at the same time or they just like knitting. It also shows that there is a record for everything and sometimes there is a record for really weird things.
