Sandy's surge disturbed baby sea turtle boom
Sandy Disturbed Baby sea turtle

As hurricane Sandy went up the east coast it threatened the loggerhead turtle during nesting season. Florida,South Carolina, and Georgia reported baby booms. North Carolina had it's third highest year, loggerhead turtles were traveling all the way to Maryland to lay eggs. I think this important because it shows us how much damage a hurricane can do. And it tells us to be ready for any thing some thing like this will probably happen again so be ready. To learn more click here
